Allan Andrews 1940
| Allan was born at Bargo where his father was employed on the railway and they later shifted to Heathcote in 1943 and it was here that Allan received his education and later established his own business as an electrical contractor. He was a councillor on the Sutherland Shire Council from 1974 to 1987 and was President from 1980 to 1981. He was elected to the NSW Parliament for the seat of Heathcote in 1986 following the resignation of Rex Jackson.In 1988 he again contested for the seat of Heathcote and was again elected.He was the first conservative member for the area ever elected to the NSW Parliament.In the redistribution of state boundaries,the seat of Heatcote was abolished. Allan gained a seat on the Water Board as a consultant and later applied for and won a permanent position with the Board as a Planning and Policy Consultant |
