Ellen was born in the Singleton District,the daughter of James and
Ann Kermode and lived all her life in the district.Ellen was twice
married,her first husband dying at a young age and leaving her with
two young children.In her second marriage to James Andrews there were
two children. Ellen was described as being of quiet and retiring
disposition,devoted to her home and family and all her friends testify
to the esteem in which she was held.Ellen died 3 weeks before her 82nd
birthday and was a member of the very early pioneer families of the
district.
