Elsie was a descendant of a long line of Andrews and was educated at
the Mt. Pleasant School and afterwards remained at home with her
parents assisting with the running of the dairy farm. On the demise of
her parents she took over the running of the dairy farm up until 1969
and at the age of 72.She moved to Warners Bay where she purchased a
home. She resided in this home for about 8 months and had returned to
the farm for the winter months when she was suddenly taken ill and
died in the Singleton District Hospital. Elsie was widely known
amongst friends,relatives and acquaintances in the Greenlands area,the
location of the farm. For many years she served as the organist for
Roselands Church at Greenlands.
