Hi, Stephen Graham is my name and I am a descendant of George Adler who arrived in Australia from Hamburg, Germany, around 1862. He died in 1906 aged 74. He married Susan Shoober (Susannah Schubert) on 25 September 1866, at Glendon Brook, Singleton. Susannah's parents were Anthony Schubert and Caroline Walk. She was born in Mannheim, Germany, Susannah died in 1905, aged 60, having spent 53 years in NSW, so I presume she migrated here with her parents in around 1852. They had 12 children - Caroline, Anthony, Mary, Phillip, George, Charles, Alexander, Alphonse, Edward, Joseph, Susannah, and two unnamed male children, deceased.
My grandfather was Joseph Adler, son of George and Susannah. Any information from any descendant, or other persons with any knowledge of the family, is eagerly sought. Thanks.

Hi and thank you for the forum
My name is Joseph Adler (born 1957 Townsville)
my father Geoffrey Clarence Adler, born 1926 (?)
son of Charles Adler, who was a surveyor in North Queensland in first half of 1900's.
Charles also went by the name Charles von Adler.
I beleive my Great Grandfather is buried in Singleton.
We may be related.
I would like to hear from those who know more about this family tree.
A special note.. in 1970's Cyclone Althea hit Townsville and destroyed my grandparents house, and my fathers' younger brother Charles sold the Adler Family Bible.
My family would to copy information from this important document.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for a Tony (anthony) Adler who married Mary Catherine Horadam and immigrated to New Zealand. They had 3 sons. The year would have been around 1902. Mary Catherine's parents were Joseph Horadam and Margaret Maloney from Glendon Brook and Glennies Creek area.
