Hi Megan,
looking at the "Inns and Hotels" book there is a bit on John Lumley as owner of;
"The Horse and Jockey"
"The Rose Inn"
"The Northumberland"

There are Licence Nos plus the years he held the licence.
Some description of "The Rose".
04/09/1852 m Sarah Nowland.

Daughter Catherine died and left 6 children

No photos which is a shame, maybe you could contact the author
Catherine Foggo ( no details on her, possibly Singleton local??)
You can ring me if you like re details on John or maybe I can scan the pages if I can
get my scanner working.

Also an entry in the "Singleton District Pioneer Register".
