We are following our family histories. We believe that you may be able to help us with the MANSFIELD and PEPPER families who lived at Patricks Plains between 1840's to 1880's. Jonathon MANSFIELD married Mary Jane PEPPER on 8 May 1865. Apart from some very general information about these families we know nothing.
Can you help us?
Thanks, John and Lyn Read Kurwongbah Queensland

Our names are John & Lyn Read from Qld. We are trying to compile a family tree and add some information about the areas where our ancestors lived. My Great Grandmother Mary Jane Pepper came from Patrick Plains and married Jonathon Mansfield there. We were hopping there may be some publication about what Patrick Plains was like then. If there is any one in Patrick's Plains researching the Pepper or Mansfield name I would like to hear from them.
Any information gratefully received.

Hi Lyn Read
My Great Grandmother was Keziah Mansfield, her father Charles Mansfield, mother Catherine Radford. Kezia married Daniel McKendry in 1869 at Patrick Plains and had 13 children. Charles Mansfield came from Balsham Cambridgeshire England and Catherine from Brinkley Cambridge.
Charles Parents were William Mansfield and Judith Ward. I have just started some serious family research.

Hi John & Lyn
I have beeen tracing my family tree and find that they were in the Patricks Plains area pre 1880. Have you come across surname of 'Gaudron' amongst your search. I can find death for Jacob and Theresa (Branxton)(NSW registery) but can't find her name on cemetery gravestone list for that area.
