I have just been going through the tree published on the net. I am a grandaughter of George A Irwin who married Sheila McKelvey. They are both mentioned His mother was Madeline Annie Bott and his father was Thomas Irwin. He had two brothers Frankie and Thomas I dont think the information on this tree is correct as it doesnt mention Madeline Bott or Joseph or his brothers. Very interesting though.

Hi there Leeanne and thanks for your message.
I have no way of validating the material ie; lineages etc that are sent into me. Are you talking about the Irwin family from around the Singleton district of NSW???

Are the Irwins from Wellingrove related, I have Abraham 1865 Wellingrove, John 1856 Marine, Thomas 1859 Wellingrove, William 1860 Wellingrove, there parents were Thomas and Rachael(rachel) and I would say they arrived in Australia in 1856/57 based on John born on a ship.

Hi
I have no idea yet where my branch of the irwins came from all I know so far is that my grandfather was called George Albin Irwin and his father was either Thomas Edward or Thomas Edgar Irwin. Thomas married Madeline Annie Bott in 1909.They lived in West Tamworth. No one knows very much about Thomas the family story is that he ran away from home when he was 16 but noones cane tell me where home was. I will have to keep looking thanks for the reply though.I will keep yuor information in mind.

leeanne,

My Irwins are not from your tree by the looks of it.

Thomas E Irwin was born 1888 Young,NSW to Thomas Irwin and Mary Ann Loader married 1874, Young, NSW.

To confirm this you will need the marriage certificate of Thomas and Madeline, 1909 in Sydney, on it will give you the father of both the groom and bride.

You probably know this thought, just trying to help.

If this is the right one he was from a large family which would explain him running away, there were 10 children less one that died at birth they are as follows, Beatrice M 1876, Phillis M 1878, Annie E 1881, Miriam O 1883, Kitinah M 1885, Thomas E 1888, Linda L 1893, Frank R 1895 & George A 1898 all born in Young, NSW.

My if I was him and had 5 older sisters in those days I would have high tailed out of there before I was 16 :<)
Anyway hope this helps sorry if it doesnt.

My Great, Great, Grandpa was James Irvin/Irvine/Irwin and he was with George Irvin/Irvine/Irwin at Wylies Flats on 26 Feb 1853. One of his sons, Samuel had 4 children one of whom was Samuel born Bendigo 1874. This Samuel came to W.A. in the 1890's for the gold rush and Samuel and family lived in Menzies, Mt Barker, Midland Junction and Perth,W.A. and it is from he that I descend.

Hello to Leeanne-perhaps we're related !!
