Researching Richard Boyall,convict who arrived on the John Barry 1839. He was given his ticket of leave in Jan 1843 and ordered to stay in the District of Patrick Plains. I have found a newspaper article in the Maitland Mercury 1848 from Wollombi in which Richard "Boyle" was witness to the murder of Edward Frost. Is this our Richard? and what happened to him. I can find no record of his death. He left a wife and 4 children in Lincolnshire from whom I am descended. |
