Subject: Williams family
I have studied your website in hope of finding a connection to the Williams family but with no luck.
My Williams ancestors were…………
Frederick George Williams
Born: 02-06-1863 Newcastle/Singleton area
Died: 1942 Ryde, New South Wales
Married 1: Date unknown to Nellie (Surname unknown)
Married 2 1901 (NSW BD&M) 5736/1901 to Marcella Logan
Edith Sarah Williams
Born: 1867 Newcastle/Singleton area
Married 1882 Newcastle to Charles Taylor (NSW BD&M 5896/1882)
Sarah and Charles were my Great Grandparents
My mother is Edith Baker (Nee Taylor) and was named after Edith
We believe the father of Frederick and Edith to be a Henry Williams but have had little luck finding connections and confirming this.
When I saw your website I was hopeful that something would appear but with no such luck.
The reason I e-mail you is I was thinking that you may have come across this family during your research and might be able to give some possible leads.
Hope you can help

Hi there Allan and thanks for your message re Williams.
Your Williams don’t tie into my Singleton mob but I do know that there was (are)
Other Williams families around Singleton – I found that out when I was researching
In the 1990s.
The best thing to do is write (or visit) to the Singleton Family History Society at Singleton.
The society is manned by a collection of very keen volunteers and they have
so many records there at the society room. They also do a $10 research of the
records held at the society
The address is:
P. 0. Box 422 Singleton
Ground floor,74 George Street, Singleton 2330
