Cecil John Mann was the son of Thomas Holcombe Mann and grandson of John Mann (1808-1860) of Hinton, my great great grandfather. I have further family information on the Mann Family if you are interested

My husband is related to William Mann b: 1825 Grimstead UK, who came to Australia in 1838 and settled in Tamworth. He married Sarah Lilley (daughter of convicts John Lilley/Lilly and Catherine Carmody who eventually settled in Singleton) in 1862. They had 10 children including Robert, William, Ted, Alfred or Albert and Archibald. Any connections?
Anyone with information on John and Catherine Lilley?

My ancestor Edmund Bull from the Isle of Wight (England) came to Australia with his wife Frances and children in 1845. Edmund worked at New Freugh and I was after information anyone may have. Edmund then went onto open Bull's Gardens at Whitebridge. I was also wanting to know what the name of the property formely known as New Freugh is known as today. I am gathering information and it would seem I think it is called Baroona??

Wendy, I am also related to the same William Mann. I would try talking to my dad's cousin Wendy Smith. She has gone through the family history but not sure how far back.

Since last posting we believe we may have located the New Freugh property on the New England Highway Whittingham on New Freugh Lane but there is also a New Freugh 'HILL' also to be found on Google as well on the other Side of the Hunter River North of Singleton and not strictly East of Singleton as history suggests? See Singleton Museum & Family History Society for information.
