Hi Rose,
I'm Harold and Ann's daughter, my aunt virgina mentioned you recently, are you still in contact with her? If you have any further info on John Thorley and Sarah Steel, i would love a copy...
I've recently found a doc stating that the Thorley St in Townsville was named after my grandfather Harold Stuart Thorley, after his return from WW1. That was interesting as i don't think any of the family knew about it. Dad would have said something for sure - and Gia diddn't know. Thanks.

Hi Peter Heyes- Just saw your online comment from 2009. My wife Virginia McLaughlin - nee Marshall is the daughter of Marie Heather Marshall - nee Brown who was the sister of Iris and Hector. I may be able to help you some. Your Grandma’s correct name was Agnes Mary Griffiths Thorley. She married William Henry Brown the father of Hector the oldest then Marie - my mother in law) and finally Iris who was married to and then divorced from Cyril Chamberlain. My wife knew Iris up until about 1950 when they moved away from Petersham where she lived next to her Grandma Agnes. That is about all I know.
