It was Frederick's 2nd marriage. My father was a son from Fredericks 1st marriage.

Hi there Edna and thanks for the response. I am busy at work until the weekend. I think we might be able to help each other out. I am related to the Shearers of the Singleton district, Edward William Shearer's line has been a bit elusive. Will respond on the weekend,

Hi Roy, thanks for sending that info of Elizabeth, I don't have a photo of her. Last year I made contact with a lady who was researching the descendants of Thomas Shearer, you may have this info, if not I'd be happy to send it to you,She has included the info I sent on Elizabeth. I noticed that some of the names are on your list, you might still find it interesting. I think I sent my email address, if you'd like copies of Thomas shearer let me know and I will post in next few days.

Edna & Roy - I have been reading your exchange about the Jolley family. My real interest is the THOMAS family of Glendon Brook & also Vere, but James Thomas 'lost' his firstwife Chritiana McLeod in childbirth 22/06/1870. In 1874 he remarried to a Barbara JOLLEY who d. 1906. My interest is children from the first marriage, but Barbara may be part of your Jolley family. When james Thomas d. 2 May 1914 his entire estate was divided between his 2 youngest children - Ann Somers Thomas & Arthur Herbert Thomas. Hope this is helpful to you.

G'day Roy,
I've been estranged from my family for many years, since my mother (Ethel's daughter), died. We are all getting back together. It's head-spinning stuff. I've included my email address.

Keep safe,

looking into Jolly's of Cowlinge, Suffolk, England, Elizabeth Jolly married John Brown in Cowlinge, Suffolk in 1816.
Have their lineage in Walthamstow, they moved prior to 1819.
Anyone know the background of these Jolly's - occupations, and if English, Irish, Scottish etc. way back...

Hi there, I've just come across this and I'm fascinated to be reading info about my great, great grandmother Evelyn M Shearer. Her Daughter is my great grandmother and I am looking for more information about Amelia May Shearer and her mother Evelyn and Amelias Father who's name isn't on these records but I think it is John Kinglsey. If anyone has further information, I would be very grateful. Thank you.

Hi there, I'm a desendant of Edward Shearer born 1858 who lived in singleton. He had a daughter Hilda Adeline who was my great grandmother. Hilda had Kathleen who was my grandmother. Does anyone have any info or photos perhaps on the shearers? These above or any other family members. Very hard to find much information. Where they British descendants, and/or was there any aboriginal heritage amongst the family.
