Hello Cheryl----I have a "Pedigree Chart" that shows Nathaniel Drake (Nathan) married a Ruth Martin. From the information that I have, shows that Nathaniel's father was "Benjamin Drake" born ca 1683, d: August, 1763--in Elizabethtown or Piscataw---NJ. He married a "Mary Runyon"--1704.
Benjamin Drakes' father was a "Rev. John Drake" b: 1655, d: April 1740. Married to "Rebecca Trotter" July 1677. She died in 1739. Records show that Rev. John Drakes' father was a Capt. Francis Drake, b: 1615-1625, d: Sept 1687, and was married to a "Mary Walker". Capt. Drake's father shows to be a "John Drake" who landed in Portsmouth, NH ca 1647. Records show that he came from Ireland. Hope this informatin helps. No info on Ruth Martin Drake--at this time.

HI - I have an unusual request. I need to locate information on two Drake branches. I was married to a Keith Drake, whose father was Vernon Jackson Drake b. 10/27/1913, Vernon's father was John Drake and he was married to Annie Carnes; John's father was Cal Drake and was married to a lady named Maggie. They were from the state of Arkansas.

My second husband's name is Allan Drake, but as far as we know the two are not directly related. Allan's father was Elliott Bishop Drake b. 06/03/1909 and Elliott's father was named John H. Drake, Jr. b. 07/08/1967 and married Josephine Bishop(b. 03/24/1868) on April 11, 1886. They had the following children: Lillian D. Drake b. 06/07/1886, Johnnie L. Drake b. 08/19/1888, Ridley G. Drake b. 12/29/1889, Vernon L. Drake b. 05/24/1891, Clara J. Drake b. 02/20/1892, Emmett W. Drake b. 10/30/1901, John Carroll Drake b. 07/17/1903, Josephine G. E. Drake b. 06/16/1904 (I know she did not have any children and lived to be in her 80's.), Elliott Bishop Drake b. 06/03/1909. They were from the state of Virginia.

Any information anyone can give me on either Drake branch would be greatly appreciated, as I have one son with each of my Drake husbands and would like to search both their "Drake sides". My email address is debbiedrake45@hotmail.com.
