I have been busy - but just noticed that I haven't had any
DRKAE LIST emails lately. Is everything alright?

Going over some old records/letters - I am finding some
Interesting references to Drake's that moved to California
Decades ago. (I know that there were out there by the
mid 1930's.)

Is there anyone out there related to the descendents of
Nathaniel S. Drake & Elizabeth Nixon; - possibly through
Their sons - like Zephaniah Drake?

Nathaniel Drake had migrated from New Jersey to Iowa
In the 1800's.

Perhaps there are still some of his descendants in Iowa ---
Maybe in Burlington, Davenport, etc.?

See ya,

Hi there Russell and thank you for posting your offer re book on the Iowa Drakes. I live in Sydney, Australia so it is of little use to me but I know there would be quite a few American/Iowa Drakes that would be keen to know whats in the book. OK if I inform them???

Good Sunday morning Roy,
That would be fine. I have the book on loan from my
sister in law. It is very fragile, so I have given it
to a niece who has access to some good office
equipment for copying. I hope to have copies back
later in the week.
My wife and I vacationed in your country (Surfers
Paradise), Great time and memories. Hope to do it
again some day.
