Hi im james robert drake 3 and im trying to find family. My great grandfather is charles drake and my part of the family is traced back to louisville kentucky in the 1800s i think.

Hi Gel,Thanks for the question and it's a very good one. The 500 caiolre energy deficit will help you lose fat without affecting your muscle mass. The important word being affecting' here. Research from the American College of Sports Medicine states that 500 is the maximum safe amount before the muscle begins to catabolise as the body searches for energy. Therefore, you will struggle to increase muscle mass whilst maintaining this deficit and more likely you'll lack the energy to complete the necessary hyperthrophy workout required to increase muscle mass.For your own personal goals, and having met you, I'd suggest a caiolre equilibrium.
