I'm looking for descendants of a James ANDREW(S) who emigrated from Devon, England to Victoria, Australia abt. 1850 +/- 2yrs. He may have been a stone cutter during the building of the Melbourne Cathedral. Possibly lived in Whittlesea. |

Hi there Keith and thanks for the message. There is some documentation on the Andrews family worldwide on my website at; http://www.xroyvision.com.au/andrews/andrewspage.htm Best bet is to put your names into the search engine on the site at; http://www.xroyvision.com.au/search/search.pl the other thing to do is join the Andrews mail List. Instructions are at; http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/surname/a/andrews.html This is a discussion area for anyone who has an interest in the surname ANDREWS and variations (e.g., Andrus, Anders, Andres, Andrew, Andrewsen, Andress, McAndrews) etc. If you are interested in exchanging information on your ANDREWS ancestors or ask questions about them - this is the place for you. This will help you in your quest, regards, Roy Andrews |

James Andrew (no 'S') was shire president of Whittlesea in 1900, emigrated from Devon, England in the 1850's. His brother migrated to the USA at the same period and we have many letters of their correspondance. How are you connected? |
