Drake, James Monroe, founder, banker, statesman, was born in 1823 in East Providence, R.I. In 1852 he established the firm of James M. Drake and company, bankers in New York City. In 1876 he was a member of the Rhode Island state senate. He died in 1906 in New York City. |
