I have traced my family line to a Johann Jacob Bowers/Bauer.
I understand that the name was changed when they hit America in 1751
He married a Anna Barbara Lindeman in 1752?

Hi, I have been trying to trace my Bauer heritage. My paternal great grandfather, Anthony Henry Bauer, was born in Wurttenberg, Germany in 1879 and his father, Johann Friedrich Bauer, also was born there in 1850. In 1886 they took a boat to the United States. I was wondering if any of my relatives are related to you?

Hello, I was curious about my Great , Great Grandfather Jacob Bauer. The info I have is that he was born in Wurttenberg, Germany in 1851 and migrated to the U.S. in 1867. He was in Company D of the U.S. Infantry in Fort Buford in 1871 in Montana. He married a Native American Woman named Walks with the Wind in 1877. I don't know for sure if he had any other family in Germany?? |
