could anyone tell me where The SECTION, and Lairmont are/were situated in the Singleton area.

Hi Philip

Not sure if you have found the answers you want yet. "Lairmont" appears to have been Faulkner's Lairmont Hotel in Whittingham which is just near Singleton.
