My husband and I are looking for photos of any of the Heuston family duing the 1840's in Singleton. John Heuston built and owned the Railway Hotel (cnr John and Gas Sts). It is now known as the Central Hotel. He also had other hotels over a period of time.
John and his wife Johanna had 10 children all born in Singleton: Maryanne,William,Robert,John,Margaret,Jane, Johanna, Patrick, Thomas and Samuel.
Both John and Johanna are buried in Singleton in the Catholic Church grounds.
Hopefully a photo has survived. Hopefully someone may be able to help. |
