Martin Bouffier was born in the Hunter Valley in the early 1850s. His parents were Heinrich Buffier (changed to Bouffier on naturalisation in 1866) and Catherina Web(b)er. They together with his brother Johannes Thomas arrived on the Parland at Morpeth in 1849.
Martin married twice, first to Mary Agnes Smith (d/of Patrick & Mary Smith from Wollombi and my line) and following her death to Norah McGrane (d/of Bernard McGrane).
I have a copy of a photograph of Martin as a councillor at the old South Singleton •••••••.
I would be very interested in making contact with with anybody with knowledge of the ••••••• and its early history and/or the Bouffier family itself.
