Hi John
I have just been browsing your website. I have an ancestor buried in the R/C cemetery and was looking to see if there was any way I could find a listing of helpers in your FHS.
Basically what I am trying to establish is if she has a headstone.
Her name was Mary Ann Hogan she died in June 1871 and as I mentioned already is buried in the Roman Catholic cemetery.
Mary was the wife of John Hogan and their only son Patrick, was only three when Mary died. I have not found out much about them yet. I am also wondering If there are any holdings in your FHS on this family that would help me with my research. I would have expected John to remarry as I don't think he would have raised patrick alone but I have not established this yet.
It is a long trip out there to find there is no headstone to photograph so I thought I would see if I could find out a bit first.
Any help you could offer would be very much welcomed.

Hi there Christine and thanks for your message re Hogan family.
I can't help you much at all with your quiry, but what I have done is added your
quiry to the Singleton section of my Genealogy Discussion Forum at;
http://www.xroyvision.com.au/discus/
and hopefully you may get a response from somebody
else researching that same particular lineage,
the other thing to do is write to the Singleton Family History Society at
Singleton.
The society is manned by a collection of very keen volunteers and they have
so many records there at the society room. They also do a $10 research of the
records held at the society.
