My great-grandfather, Rev Edmund Huband-Smith, was Rector of Jerry's Plains for about thirty years at the end of the 19th century. He and wife Caroline would have arrived in NSW late 1867 or early 1868. I do not know the ship or their status, though they do not seem to have been assisted migrants.

As they were in the Singleton area for so long, I am hoping someone may be able to help me with these details! Otherwise, this Toowoomba resident is going to have to make a trip to Sydney some time.

In hope,

Marie Cameron
