Date: Monday, 17 January 2005 9:54 AM Dear Sir/Madam, Can you advise me where I can find information on the Singleton Benevolent Asylum for 1849? Trying to find information on a patient who died there in 1849. William Waldron 389.Died from a tumour. Would there be any records for that period to who may have signed him in? Hoping you may be able to advise me on this matter. Yours Faithfully, Ruth O'Neill. |

Hi there Ruth and apology for not replying sooner. The best thing to do is write to the Singleton Family History Society at Singleton. The society is manned by a collection of very keen volunteers and they have so many records there at the society room. They also do a $10 research of the records held at the society. The address is: Singleton FHS P. 0. Box 422 Singleton NSW 2330 (I have Ruths email address )
