I am a novice and would like some help/information please
My GGG Grandfather James Brown married Elizabeth Thorley in Singleton 1850. Elizabeth was the g daughter of Jonathon Griffiths (secon fleet 1790).
I am looking for more information on the Brown family who descended form James and Elizabeth, they are
WALLACE BROWN; LESLIE JAMES H BROWN AND LESLIE MAXWELL BROWN.
THIS IS FOR MY 84 YR OLD MUM (Margaret Gertrude Smith )WHO HAS LOST TOUCH YEARS AGO WITH HER BROTHER LESLIE MAXWELL, he was known a Max. I would like to continue this search for myself and future generations.

Hi there Lesley, and thanks for your message and postings on the site - you
should get some responses from the forum. Going by your email you live in
NZ which makes it hard for research.
The best thing to do is write to the Singleton Family History Society at
Singleton.
The society is manned by a collection of very keen volunteers and they have
so many records there at the society room. They also do a $10 research of
the
records held at the society. Obviously there is so much info there on the
Singleton
family.
The society rooms are absolutley full of records, papers, photographs etc of
the
history of the whole Singleton and district. If you like, I can do cdrom
lookups
for you at home.
