Hi mate,
I am a direct descendant of a Swing rioter (Alfred Darling) transported on the "Eleanor" in 18312.
I'm looking at a reunion of those descendants of the ship's convicts, probably in 2010 as it will take quite a bit to do and 2010 is the 170th anniversary of the events.
So far I have the support of the History ••••••• of NSW (am a board member), the NSW State Archives, Society of Australian Genealogists and the Association of Labour Historians.
