Hi All, I'm a descendant of a Hugh Hughes who lived in the area and I am trying to find out more about him. He seems to appear in the 1841 census with children and a wife, but I cannot find a marriage or birth of the children and it seems odd that a convict was able to start a family before receiving a ticket-of-leave. He was a well known horse breeder at the time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. More detail below. Assigned - Convict 1837 Age: 33 Patricks Plain, NSW, Australia Aged 32.
