I am trying to research my Drake roots. My mom who is 89 tells me her grandmother, Harriet Elizebeth Drake Morrow lived in Denver Ohio when she was little and died in about 1917. Her husband was Elza Morrow. We are told that her maiden name was Drake and we are related to Sir Francis Drake. Anybody have any leads? thanks. What county is Denver,OH. in.? Do you know? My Drake's came from Monroe Co.,OH. in the 1830's,40's & 50's. Sir Francis Drake didn't have any known children;although he had lots of brothers that had children. We are suppossed to be direct descendants of Sir Francis's brother John but I have no proof yet. Good Luck with your research! Sincerely, Pam Drake padrake2000@yahoo.com or padrake@psci.net |

Hello, Steve. Do you or your mom know when Harriet was born? I have a Harriet Drake in my family, who would have been born about 1806 in England, and died, date unknown, in Youngstown, Ohio. It is a stretch, but her father William lived to be 94 years old. Bret Regis |

My great grandmother is Harriet Drake and I live in Minnesota. I was told by her and my grandmother that me and my brothers are descendants of Sir Francis Drake, but research has brought me no success. I hope you find something in your research. |
