If any one in your extended Rose family would like to participate in my international project Roses from the Heart(tm) I would be thrilled. This project commemorates all 25,566 convict women transported to Australia. Descendants of convict women are commemorating their ancestors and those who have no female convict ancestry are learning about the colonial era and the reality of the economic and social contribution made by convict women to their new country. There were convict women transported by the name of Rose. All information about Roses from the Heart(tm) is on my website .christinahenri.com.au In 2009 the installation will tour the UK and Ireland and in 2010 it will tour in Canada, USA and New Zealand. |

Interested in further information about Jemimah Garrat, High Wycome who's daughter Louisa emigrated to New Zealand in the late 1870's or early 1880s. Louisa was my Great Grandmother. Was Jemimah's mother also called Louisa? |
