Note: I am reposting this thread due to an outdated email I originally left and due to the age of the original request. I have a rather large pastoral painting of a sheperd, his sheep dog and his flock in an old (1700 or 1800's) English(?) setting in mostly green hues. Signed "G.B. Drake". Painting is likely early 20th century, although may be slightly older. Was acquired in the Cincinnati area in the mid 1950's. This painting may be viewed at http://www.navtexholdings.com I've tried to retrieve any information regarding this artist, but to no avail. Any ideas who this might be? Any information would be greatly appreciated. |
