I have Drake ancestors from Chard in Somerset, one of whom farmed at Upottery in Devon sometime around 1700. The property he owned or rented was in Rawridge, Upottery. I am particularly interested in a farm called Huggins Hayes which is mentioned along with John Drake of Chard in some documents. John's daughter Elizabeth married Richard Brett and their daughter MAria married Christopher Fry.
I have a very sketchy history of this period of the Drake Family.
