I am researching the coal mines of Old Forge, Pa. Recently we discovered a file cabinet full of Sarah (Drake) Stewart's legal documents. Maps, Coal Mining Royalties, deeds, land leases, etc.
Some are posted on our web site www.oldforgecoalmine.com on the Drake Page.
I also found out that the Drake's had a family cemetery in the Connell's patch section of Old Forge near the Luzerne/Lackawanna County line. It was reported the tombstones were plowed over and a rail line built right over the graves when the Lehigh Valley railroad ran it's spur into the William A. Colliery.
I have a good idea of the exact location, and I am waiting for a local Museum to find the one early map that has it pinpointed.
