This is what I have.William Drake b.10-4-1770 in Yorkshire, Eng. 4 children from 1st m.(spouse unkn.)Ann,Elizabeth,Ralph,Sarah. 2nd m. Jeannette Butterworth in Lancashire abt. 1803/04. Children Alice b.Nov. 1804, Harriet b. abt.1806. All aforementioned children born in Eng. Came to U.S. in 1808 settled in Pa., then Stuebenville, Oh where 3 more children were born. Frances(Frank), Joeseph, and Mary b. abt 1818. Mother died soon after Mary was born. They then moved to Clarks- ville, Greene Co., Pa where William built a woolen factory and operated it for many years. William d. 4-6-1865 in Cincinnati, buried in Pa. Sarah, Eliz- abeth, Frank, and Mary all buried in Pa. Ralph in Mo., Alice in Ia., Joeseph in Il., and Harriet in Youngstown, Oh. Alice m. Richard Prichett(my line) It seems like a lot to go on, but I'm having a very hard time with these people. All I have found are a few census records for Greene Co. and some marriage records in Yorkshire that aren't 100% compatible with my info. Anybody who is related or can shed some light on these Drakes is encouraged to contact me PLEASE. Thank you. |
