I found your website through the Rootsweb digest about the Devon area, where my grandparents originated.
My maternal great-grandmother was named Georgina Drake, born 1855, married Thomas Clark(e), and died in Exmouth, Devon. Her mother, Harriet Drake, appears on the 1901 census as a 90-year-old widow. Georgina was a dressmaker, who made fine dresses for the upper class ladies in Plymouth, who would pass her on the street without acknowledging her presence, since she was '''working-class''.
I have a few pictures of my great-grandparents from family albums which I would gladly share with the others on the website. Maybe someone else might have some connections with my family |
