in the 1870 nj census there is a jacob drake 42, his wife martha drake 40 son warren 19,julia 16,whitfield 15, mary e. 13, ida 11, emma 9, caroline 7, harriet 4 and minnie 1, in the 1880 census there is a granddaughter laura houston 10m i am trying to get any information on this family i can. |

Hello, Susan! Drake's in New Jersey were fond of using many of the same first names (over & over & over) - and this would extent into several generations, as well as over-lap ( such as siblings, cousins, step brothers,etc...). Do you have any idea where they were living when this census took place ( town, township, county)> Knowing which area & county will make a big difference in narrowing the field. |
