I have an interest in
Frederick Drake born c1862 Bradford.
He married Mary Haddon in Newcastle on Tyne 1884
They moved around a fair bit judging by the birth places of his children probably because of his job.
Children:
Thomas 1881 (!) Atherston, Warks. also a professional violinist
Annie 1885, Atherston, Warks
Albert 1886, Banff, Scotland, also a professional violinist (married Sarah Dorothy Townsend, who was my Great Aunt).
Laura 1892 Gloucester.
Florence Gertrude 1896 Leicester
Any of these names ring a bell please, Sylvia

Sorry to be so long replying.
Hmmm It would be nice if it was my Frederick Drake, but as far as I know they spent their whole lives in UK.
My great uncle (Albert Drake) apparently owned a Stradivarius (sp?) which was left to his brother when he died as he had no children. He died quite young according to my dear old mum.
