John Jackman Drake of Winswood Farm in Crediton Devon(1794-1874)had only one child,John Drake (1826-1910) who was illegitimate but whom he brought up.After a falling out,John Drake emigrated to Australia with his wife Anne ne Roberts (1833-1911) and started a small school in Melbourne.They had 9 children and eventually 300 descendants (including spouses).I am the great grandson of John.John Jackman Drake's father was William Drake (miller) (1762-1793)(wife Charity Jackman) who had 4 other children William,Francis,George and Edwin.William's father was John (died 1783)wife Elizabeth Vowler.
