And, yet another question: Who is this Nicholas Drake - who might have
been
Present at SFD's death?

He mentioned Bernard Drake.
Page 164.
"As a first strategic move, with the opening of the war in 1585,
Bernard
Drake was sent to round up the Spanish fleet in Newfoundland."

Sir Bernard Drake was the oldest of three brothers, sons of John and
Amy .
"Two years later he [Whitbourne] was present when Bernard Drake
rounded up
the Spanish and Portugeuse fishing fleets."

So, who is this Bernard Drake?
Sir Bernard Drake was the oldest of three brothers, sons of John and
Amy
Drake of House of Ashe in England. (No relation to Sir Francis Drake.
Brother Richard was Equesterian to Queen Elizabeth and had a son
Francis
Drake. Brother Robert had sons, Colonel Robert and Captain Humphrey
killed
in battle of Osteen, 1600.
In the latter family was Nicholas, present at Sir Francis Drake's
death.
There was also Henry who had a close connection to Francis Drake of NH
and
NJ, probably an uncle.

Albert, you mention a Henry Drake having some type of relationship
with
Francis Drake - who lived in NH & NJ (this must of have been Capt.
Francis
Drake - the father of Rev. John Drake).

Can you tell us about this info & where you got it? I might enlighten
us -
if
Not provide some food for thought.

(Please remember - there's still some question as to - any/all
connections;
--- I thought that the Drake's [Robert Drake/Capt. Francis Drake]
might have
been from the Essex area ---??? --- Is it now the House of Ashe? )

Just a wonderin'.........
