I came across the Drake website where James Blake mentions a Thomas Drake who married a Maryanne Mitchell.

My great grandmother MaryAnne Hodgkiss b. 7th July 1863 was raised by a Thomas Drake and MaryAnne Mitchell after Mary Anne's sister Elizabeth Jane Mitchell and her 4 year old daughter Jane tragically drowned whilst crossing the Don River in Devonport Tasmania on 17/10/1864.

Does anyone any further information regarding these people.
