Alright, I know we have discussed this for awhile...so I went and did
it.
DRAKE. The DRAKE-NETHERLANDS mailing list is for the discussion
and sharing of information regarding the Drake surname and
variations in or from the Netherlands. To subscribe
send "subscribe" to drake-netherlands-l-request@rootsweb.com
(mail mode) or drake-netherlands-d-request@rootsweb.com (digest
mode)."
Hopefully what will happen is folks will remain on the DRAKE-L after
they discover what Drake line they are from, but belong to
DRAKE-NETHERLANDS-L to be able to fine tune their family information
among others who are definitely of the Netherland line without other
conversations/lines. (sort of like the Benjamin Drake list which sorts
out Benjamin Drakes)
I imagine that once someone searches the surname lists for Drake with
the keyword Netherlands...they've probably done their homework.
Look forward to seeing you guys on the list.
I've got my gedcom hot and ready...
to trade my notes!

Go to the Roots Web home page and look under lists. You'll find them all
there. That one is for descendants of the Benjamin Drake who went to
Carter CO, TN. Good luck.
