Albert E. Drake, 93, Shelbyville, died Wednesday.
Born March 1, 1907, in Shelby County, s/o Albert C. and Virginia (Ware) Drake.
Married Nina Smock on May 30, 1928; she preceded him in death on March 25, 1980.
Married Gusta Cassady on Aug. 2, 1981, and she survives.
Farmed until 1958 and then was a carpenter, retiring in 1987.
Member of Lewis Creek Baptist Church and a former member of First Church of the Nazarene.
Other survivors: sons, Edward E. Drake, Williamsport, and A. Wayne Drake, Cambridge City; one daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Doris J.) Payne, Chicago, Ill; one sister, Mrs. Carl (Letha) Deiwert, Shelbyville; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one stepson, one sister and one brother.
Lewis Creek Baptist Church, with the reverends Kenneth Jewell and Cliff Bunch officiating.
Burial: Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin.
Norman Funeral Home, Hope.
