Thought you all might like to see these views of the wonderful "Church of St. Peter and St. Paul"; South Petherton, Somerset. I visited there last year. Here is where Richard amd Thomaseine - the probable Drake ancestors of Thomas, Richard, and John Drake of 1675ish-1760ish IofW - communed. Two of their sons, namely John and Thomas, were baptised here in 1647 and 1650, respectively, and it was Richard and Thomaseine who
emigrated from Bristol in 1658 (see Coldham). Though this baby John
likely was the father of the well known Thomas, Richard and John of IofW
has not yet been proved, but he probably was. Similarly, young Thomas
was the progenitor of some of the other IofW Drake lines.
