Orange County in the State of New York who was a private in the Corp. commanded by Capt. McDowell of the Regt. commanded by Col. Faston in the New York line for 8 months and 24 days.

Inscribed on the Roll of New York at the rate of $29.30 per annum to commence on the 4th day of March, 1831.

Certificate of Pension issued the 28th day of Nov. 1833 and sent to claimant; Goshen

On the 12 day of February in the year 1833 - David G. Drake appeared before Abe Dunning, Clerk of Orange County, New York, giving the entire war experiences, he resided in the town of Goshen in Orange County, NY. David G. Drake was seventy three years old at this time. One part states he was born at Goshen, 1759. He further stated he never lived out of Goshen. This affidavit was four pages long, not listed here.

An affidavit from a William Vail who was 71 years old at that time (24 January 1838/date of affidavit). He was in the Revolution with David G. Drake.

An affidavit from Lawrence Kortright of Walkill County in New York, age 74 years and affidavit taken June 7th, 1832, served with David G. Drake also.

Department of Interior Bureau of Pension - it states "DAVID GROSSET DRAKE" as the pensioner's full name.
