Elisha Drake Will
In the name of God, Amen.
I Elisha Drake of the County of Greene & State of Georgia, being of sound
& disposing mind & memory, but knowing it is appointed unto all men once to
die, do make & ordain this as my last will & Testament, that is to say---
First -- After paying all my just debts, I give to my daughter Harriett
Crossley wife of Edward Crossley two notes on Joseph R Barnhart with
interest from date, with an equal proportion of my bedding & clothing & with
other sundry things (?) (?) to mention for the use of her & the heirs of her
I give to my daughter Mary Moon wife of James W Moon, two notes on Joseph R
Barnhart, with interest from date, with an equal part with my other daughter
in sundry things, for her (?) (?) the heirs of her body.
I give unto my grandson, Bozwell Moon son of James W Moon, one mare, Saddle
& Bridle, it being his part of my Estate.
Lastly -- I appoint Edward Crossley and James W Moon my Executors of this my
last will and Testament. In testimony hereof I have affixed my hand & Seal,
this 14 day February 1848.

Personally came into open Court L. B. Jackson & George Hall two of the
subscribing witnesses to the within last will & Testament of Elisha Drake
decd. & upon Oath say, that they saw him signed & declare the same as his
last will and testament, and that they each believed him to be of perfect
sound mind & memory at the time of his signing the same, and that they with
L. P. Kimbrough signed this names as witnesses thereto in the presence of
each other and in the presence of the Testator.
