From: Jan Date: Thursday, June 29, 2000 5:26 PM The info I have is that James A. Drake joined the Union army, Ohio 164th volunteers in 1863 in Tallarage, Ohio. He said his home was in Brimfield, OH. Then after the war he went to Eaton, Co. MI. He married a Mary Elizabeth Newsome (maybe Hitchcock?) They went to Sedgwick Co. in KS in 1872. That I know for sure. They ended up in Newton Co., MO. They are buried at Swartz Prarie Baptist cem in Newton Co. along with the rest of my Drakes. I have questioned many other descendants but no one knows anything about him. I have been on this now for several years and keep coming to the same road block. Thank you for your help. You can reach me at Jhistime@aol.com. or email@example.com (my mothers email).
