Garraduc Drake and his wife martha Drake settled in Hanover in Morris County in Provinmce of New Jersey made his willin 1753 there children war as follows Garrardus Frake, William Drake, and Lorana Drake.
Garrardus Drake2 married Martha Squires formerly Marth Russell and settled in Suffolk County, LI called north side which was then a part of the state of Conn. Garrardus Drake2 had five children.
Sir Francis Drake was in the service of Queen Elizabeth from the year 1577 to 1588. He was son of Protestant Vicar of Kent. (Edmund Drake). Harry Drake of Childe in Devon, England 1567 supposed to be a brother of Sir Francis Drake.

Geradus Drake, Son of Moses Drake, settled in Hanover, Morris Co., NJ and made his will in 1753. His wife Matha was (sp?). He had three children:

B-William Drake of Essex Co., NJ married Sarah the Daughter of Judge Barrate of Essex Co., NJ, April 9, 1737

A-Geradus Drake made his will the 22nd Nov. 1782, he died at the age of 112 years. Geradus and Martha Drake had five children as follows:
1-Moses Drake born 1736, died young, never married
2-Lorana Drake born 1737, married Jonathan Thompson, had one child, Louis, all dead, extinct.
3-Elizabeth Drake, born May 8 1755, married Stephen Beckwith, had five children: Rebecca, Prudence, Sarah, Eliza, and Moses.
4 Aron Drake, born March 8 1763 at Sag Harbor. He had eight children: Moses, Lucretia, John, Aron, Mehetable, Thomas E., Steven B., Lodwick G.
Sarah M. Terry (dau. of David Terry and Sally Terry, nee
Brown) married Horrace (or Flories) Terry and had one child:
Carolyn L. Terry (dau. of David Terry and Sally Terry, nee Brown) married:
1-John Thompson on Dec. 20, 1849.
2-Jonathan A. Youngs on Feb 15, 1853 and had one child
Nathaniel B. Terry (son of David Terry and Sally Terry, nee
Brown) married Caroline A. Evens.
Eliza R. Terry (dau. of David Terry and Sally Terry, nee
Brown) married Charles A. Willoughby and had two children:
1-John C. Willoughby

William Thompson (son of William and Martha Thompson, nee Drake who was b. Nov. 23, 1746) had eight children as follows:

Brown, married Louisa WOOD, and had one child:
David B. WOOD.
3-Martha B. Terry, dau. of David Terry and Sally Terry, nee
Brown, married William Cyrus Ackerly who was born May
12, 1820. He was drowned June 23, 1882 in NC. They
had eight children as follows:
1-Noah T. Ackerly,
2-Wesley Ackerly, never married
3-James W. Ackerly,
4-David G. Ackerly, born Aug. 7, 1849.
5-Martha M. Ackerly, born July 29, 1852, died Dec. 13,
1881, never married.
6-Sarah D. Ackerly, born Dec. 31, 1855 at Nanticoke, MD, died May 18 1949.
7-Lemuel F. Ackerly, born April 25, 1858, died March 8, 1889, aged 30, never married.
8-Lafayette J.Coates Ackerly.
Maria Terry, dau. of David Terry and Sally Terry, nee Brown,
married Alva JONES and had ten children as follows:
1-Sarah F. Jones, married David THOMPSON.
2-Samuel L. Jones, died young, never married.
3-Mary E. Jones, married Unknown Terry, had one child.
4-Charley Jones, died in childhood.
5-David Jones, died in childhood.
6-Jamie Jones, died in childhood.
7-Ida Jones, died in childhood.
Fifth child of Geradus Drake, Jr. married Martha Squires
5-Martha Drake, born Nov. 23, 1746, died March 26, 1816,
aged 70. Married 1-William THOMPSON, had five
children as follows: Geradus, Martha, William ( who had
eight children), Mary T. (married Joseph EDWARDS and
had twelve children, Samuel (had eight children).
Martha Drake, born Nov. 23., 1746, married 2-Nathaniel
BROWN. They had six children as follows: Ency,Lorana,
Nathaniel, Betsey (married REEVES), Daniel, and Sally
Brown who married David TERRY OF L.I., NY
Sally TERRY nee BROWN was born April. 25, 1794, died
May 14, 1844, aged 50 years, married David TERRY, born
Sept. 15, 1792, died 1880. They had ten children as
1-Hannah E. Terry, born, Oct. 14, 1818
2-David B. Terry, born Nov 29 1821, died March 23, 1855
3-Martha B. Terry, born April 12, 1821, died March 9 1893 at
Elizabeth City, NC (she was the recipient of this letter and
my gt. grandmother. This letter is in this writer's
4-Maria B. Terry, born april 25, 1823.
5-Sarah M. Terry, born Dec. 19, 1824
6-Sally Terry, died in infancy.
7-Gasham (or Gersham) G. Terry, born Sept. 9 1827, died
April 23, 1850, never married.
8-Carolyn L. Terry, born May 6 1830. (She was the author of
9-Nathaniel B. Terry, born May 24, 1832, died Feb. 22, 1857.
10-Eliza R. Terry, born Sept. 8, 1835.
