Have been thinking of sending you this family line of mine but keep putting
it off. I just decided that it is time to stop procrastinating and get it
done. Maybe it will help someone who is researching and needs what little
info I have. Then again, maybe someone can be of some help to me. So here
it is. I do not know how to send a gedcom so will have to settle for this.

(South of The Dalles Oregon (Wasco County)
Father: Riley Drake
Mother: Betsy Matteson (Madison)
not sure of the spelling)(Betsy died when son was three weeks old)
R.V. Drake : buried in 8-Mile Cemetery (sometimes called Jap Hollow
Cemetery) about 8 miles south of The Dalles, Wasco Co.,Oregon

NOTE: Supposedly died in schoolhouse fire in 1868. Have found
no proof of that fact except from a book written by Wm. McNeal, The Dalles,

(C) Etta Elnora Drake b. about 1867 (Oregon 1870 census
showed Etta as 3 years old.
Etta Married James Ferguson November 24, 1887 (Book of
Marriages -Book D, Page 139) The Dalles, Wasco Co. Library, The Dalles,
Oregon) 2nd marriage for James Ferguson.
Etta died October 25, 1931 age 64.

((Census record 1880 showed Joseph 14 years old)
