I have tried this several times, but with more and more traffic on this
list I thought I would add it again.. My Drake's start in PA with
Nathaniel in 1773, he died in 1820. At the time of Nathaniel's death, he
was living were living in Northumberland County, PA. In 1821 or
thereabouts his widow Nancy (Houghland) Drake moved the family to Stark
County, Ohio, in 1825, they stayed in Stark County for one year, Then in
1826 the moved to Wayne County, Ohio and lived there for for about six
years, Then in 1831 they moved to Jackson Township, Richland County, Ohio.
I have not been successful in obtaining any information in front of
Nathaniel, b. in PA on January 3, 1773, d. in Northumberland County, PA on
January 20, 1820. His father was reported to have been an Englishman,
whose wife was unable to speak or hear. They had four other children beside
Nathaniel, two boys and two girls. Two of these Drake boys were supposed to
have served in the War of 1812, with only one returning. Nathaniel was
married to Nancy Houghland sometime prior to 1806. Nancy was b. January
10, 1788 in PA, and she d.
July 17, 1855 in Richland County, Ohio. They has six children, being:
1. John (My gggrandfather), b. June 27,1806, in Northumberland County.

3, George, b. 1820;

Blanche was my grandmother. Jacob Andrew's parents were Jacob and Mary
"Polly" (Hollenbaugh) Rowe.
