He married Rachael Scarlett, daughter of Thomas and Catherine Scarlett. She was born about 1818 in PA. They had 7 children (Eliza, Ann, William, John, Rebecca, Simeon Oliver, & Catherine) - all born in Carroll County, OH. I have found Simeon beginning with the 1850 census (Thanks Barb!). I also note that there was a woman living with Simeon named Rebecca, born MD, also in the household. Based on her age, I am "assuming" that she may have been his mother. Age shows she would have been born in 1776 - so that is a possibility. Census for 1860 and 1870 show that wife Rachael was not living there, but the 1870 shows another woman (possible second marriage or sister) living in the household who would have been born around 1813 and was lited as occupation: Keeping House. My direct line follows Simeon's son: John (m. Mary Elizabeth Lewers), their son David Albert Skeeles Drake (m. Mary Martha Oyer), their daughter Wanda (m.
