Mourning Drake, born about 1796/1800 in Nash County, NC, was the daughter of
Hines Drake  and his wife Mourning (Last name unknown).  She is listed in
the 1831 will of Hines Drake, with her brother Jesse and sisters Temperance
and Elizabeth.
Mourning is listed in the 1840 and 1850 census reports, along with her
siblings.
